Dental patient unable to sue after cosmetic treatment went wrong

Mr I, a 46 year old dental patient from the South East was left without redress after his dentist provided poor cosmetic dentistry then left the UK.

Mr I began a course of cosmetic dentistry, including 4 veneers and a 3 unit bridge, in a bid to improve the appearance of his teeth.  After the treatment was completed he realised something was wrong when he consulted another dentist for a second opinion.  Mr I was informed that the treatment was of a poor standard and was advised to contact specialist dental negligence solicitors, the Dental Law Partnership.

Unfortunately, after investigations it was discovered that the dentist in question had left the UK and could not be traced.  As a result, Mr I’s case was closed and he personally faced the cost of remedial treatment.
